UP FAITH AND FAMILY SERIESNetflix also streams the Heartland series in the United States but typically releases the newest season much later than other outlets, typically in the first quarter of the year. UPtv typically begins running a new season within weeks of the finale being made available via UP Faith and Family. UP Faith and Family is typically the first outlet to release new seasons in the United States, usually starting to air new episodes in early spring. Given the show’s popularity, it would be surprising if the outlets didn’t pick up season 16. As per usual, there’s been no official announcement that the UP Faith & Family streaming service, UPtv cable channel, or Netflix streaming service will carry the new episodes. The 16th season of Heartland is expected to debut in Canada at some point this fall. She delivered a daughter a couple of weeks ago. It appears that Morgan may be missing for a portion of the season as she departed the set for maternity leave at the end of June. While the past three seasons have had just 10 episodes each, the 16th season will have 15 installments. The series originates on CBC in Canada, and filming for season 16 of Heartland began last month. Together, they confront the challenges of running the ranch that has been in their family for generations. It follows Amy Fleming (Marshall), her older sister Lou (Morgan), and their Grandfather Jack (Johnston). It’s a multi-generational saga that’s set on the Heartland ranch in the rolling foothills of Alberta, Canada. Once they reach Capernaum, what happens? They are standing outside of his home (most likely Jesus’ own house: Mark calls Capernaum “his own town”). “For Jesus, ties to the Father were more important than ties to his family.” Let that sink in for a moment: Jesus’ extended family was so disturbed by what he was doing that they traveled all the way from their hometown to the Sea of Galilee to “restrain him.” Why are Jesus’ mother and extended family in Capernaum, Jesus’ home base for his ministry in Galilee? Why have they come all the way from Nazareth, a difficult journey of a day or so, to this town on the shores of the Sea of Galilee? We find the answer in Mark 3:21: “When his family heard it, they went out to restrain him, for people were saying, ‘He has gone out of his mind.’” Other translations from the Greek say that his family wanted to “seize” or “arrest” him. To understand why, it’s important to set the scene, which is mirrored in the other synoptic Gospels, Mark and Matthew.
